The right platform depends on who runs the site.
Sites change hands. A new marketing team already knows WordPress, a new developer prefers Joomla, or the site has outgrown the way it was first built. Switching is a reasonable decision, but it is a rebuild on the other platform, not an export and import.
We build on both, so we have no reason to push you either way. Sometimes the assessment shows that an upgrade on your current platform gets you what you need for less. When that happens, we say so.

Before you switch
The questions that come up first.
Will we lose our search rankings?
Every old URL gets a permanent redirect to its new address, and page titles and descriptions come across with the content. Nobody can promise rankings, but a move with a full redirect map keeps the links and history that search engines already know.
Can users keep their passwords?
Often, yes. Where the two platforms store passwords in formats that don’t match, we either add a small login bridge or ask users to set a new password. The assessment tells you which, before anything moves.
What happens to extensions and plugins?
Most have a counterpart on the other platform. Where one doesn’t, we compare a ready-made alternative with building the missing piece, and quote both.
Can the design stay the same?
Yes. Designs don’t transfer between platforms, so we rebuild the current one as a new template or theme. If you want a redesign at the same time, it is quoted as a separate piece of work.
What about an online shop?
Shops are quoted separately. Products, orders, customer accounts and payment setups need their own plan, so we assess them on their own.
